Since turning this hobby into a full-time business, I’ve had to concentrate more on the higher-price vehicles. So here are more mopeds and cyclemotors going onto ebay because I’ve just not had time to do the various little jobs on them.

1977 Mobylette AV89 49cc
V5C. DVLA Registered OHR 692R
The frame is 89183089. Engine is 2671612.
I received this Mobymatic two years ago in part-exchange from a friend.
He’d been using it. But I’ve not got round to doing anything with it.
I’d intended selling it in France, as they are very popular over there.
Instead I swapped the saddle with the one on my AV88 to get that through MOT,
and this AV89 has remained in dry storage since.
Parts are easy to find. It does have a transferable registration OHR 692R which has a nominal value if you’re into that sort of thing.

Model NC50E Automatic Twist & Go.
V5C. DVLA Registered
Valuable (transferable) Cherished Registration TBK 51S
When I bought this Honda Express in 2006, it was MOT’d and taxed.
The MOT expired three years ago. I’ve not run it since.
Parts are not hard to find. It does have a transferable registration TBK 51S which is worth £150-£250 if you’re into that sort of thing.

The frame is 59048835. Engine is 7895358.
When I bought this Mobymatic in 2006, it had been off the road for four years.
The previous owner had put it back on the road and it was MOT’d.
The MOT expired in January 2007. I’ve not run it since.
The previous owner told me it was de-regulated, though I can’t remember (have ridden a lot of mopeds since then). It’s been dry-stored and would be an easy restoration project.
Parts are easy to find. It does have a transferable registration WES 355K which has a nominal value if you’re into that sort of thing.
Or you could use it as a parts supply for your own Mobymatic restoration project. No reserve. 99p start.

VEHICLE CONDITION: Vintage vehicles are wonderful beasts
– but each has an individual personality and they sometimes have bad days just like you and me.
You will need basic mechanical skills (or a local mechanic) to use one on a regular basis.
Two-strokes invariably need basic servicing before starting them, if they’ve been left to stand for more than 3 weeks or so.
These are rare vehicles whose values are not necessarily based on running order.
