1910s FN Fabrique Nationale Shaft-drive 24″ Gent’s Bicycle (Belgian)

Frame number 13270

An FN Shaftdrive is an historic machine, as FN influenced the other early adopters of chainless bicycles, such as Pope Columbia (in the USA) and Metropole (in France). FN produced their first shaftdrive bicycle (also known as the Chainless or, in French, Acatene) in 1898.

DELIVERY is not included in this auction. This website contains details of recommended delivery services.
Britain - delivery is £45 for a bicycle to main parts of England; extra to Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, etc.
Ireland & N. Ireland – I’ll recommend some companies, but you’ll have to organize it yourself.
INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY:
Europe – delivery is around £150 by courier.
North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, etc – delivery is around £250.
International delivery requires partly stripping and packing the bicycle. Someone else does this for me, and it takes a few weeks.
PAYMENT: Paypal is okay for cheap items; otherwise deposit only on paypal is preferred.
International purchasers – Please contact me in advance to arrange payment and delivery details.
AFTER PURCHASE: Please email me your phone numbers; I prefer to speak to all purchasers personally.
FEEDBACK: I do everything I can to make your purchase a pleasurable experience. But I only leave feedback when someone has taken the trouble to leave it for me.
VEHICLE CONDITION: Vintage vehicles are wonderful beasts – but each has an individual personality and they sometimes have bad days just like you and me.
You will need basic mechanical skills (or a local mechanic) to use one on a regular basis.
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE ABOVE, PLEASE DO NOT BID.
