2009 The Latest BuyVintage Online Auction: Buy Now!

1buyvintageheader.jpg

With the success of the first Buy Vintage Online auction in March 2008 and the follow-up in May 2008 (the CYCLEMOTOR SALE of the CENTURY) I’ve extended the Online Auction to continue selling rare and interesting vintage vehicles via ebay through 2009…

CURRENT AUCTION – SEE PHOTOS BELOW

In the first two auctions, I listed all the lots on ebay over a 2 week period. This time, I’m auctioning an average of 10 each week on ebay. If you’re interested in one of the vehicles in the photos below and are not sure of its ebay sale date, please contact me as below.

This website is the auction catalogue. There’s quite a variety here to whet your appetites.

Please browse the photos in this section below to see the vehicles currently available.

This BuyVintage Online Auction is undoubtedly the Bicycle, Tricycle & Cyclemotor Sale of the Century. Of course, there’s the usual collection of obscure vintage cars, motorcycles and scooters.

And intriguing cyclemotors from the 1910’s to the 1960’s too.

But, in an unending effort to present you with even older and rarer items of motoring history, there are now 50 pages of bicycles and tricycles – the earliest from 1869/70 – and all ready for you to jump on and ride!

CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT: Please phone Colin on 07866-126469 for any enquiries.

****************************

WHAT IS A CYCLEMOTOR?

Though primarily motorcyclists, we collectors have been exploring different genres of vintage vehicle as we get older. Cyclemotors are motorized vintage bicycles. Of course, the first motorcycles, around the turn of the 20th Century were cyclemotors. And for short periods of time since – before and after the first World War; and again from 1949 to around 1955 – this style of motorcycle was popular again.

These are intriguing periods in our social history, and riding one of these strange lightweight machines is surprisingly similar to riding one the very first motorcycles from 1903. They make excellent presents for vintage enthusiasts’ families: youngsters love to parade them round the show-ground at steam rallies and local shows in the summer; they are also simple engines for an introduction to engineering skills. And when they break down you can pedal them home!

Delivery – UK and International

DELIVERY OF YOUR PURCHASE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE.

But we will help you organize it. Most UK destinations are only £70 for part-load delivery
- ie Peter collects from us when he’s in our area, and delivers to you when he’s in yours.
This is the cheapest delivery possible in UK, but takes average 3 weeks
(or maybe longer this time with all these to deliver).
If you want it fast, you’ll need to collect it yourself.

Delivery contact details – see page on the right
OR CLICK HERE

For international purchasers, we can usually arrange shipping for you.
Europe is simple to organize through CHAS MORTIMER – usually under €400 to Germany, etc
North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan – we take care of the whole delivery if required.

We may also be able to deliver a few to Netley Marsh Autojumble/ Beaulieu Autojumble/ Kempton Park Autojumble for international purchasers by previous arrangement.

FREE AUCTION CATALOGUE

Although not a glossy brochure to read over breakfast, you’ve not had to pay for it. Because this website is your Auction Catalogue.

Above are photos of the vehicles in the Auction, with links to the relevant pages on the right.

After each sale, I remove the main photo (above) but the pages on the right remain to act as a public information database.

Because there are so many photos (and some have videos of the engines running), these pages need to be viewed with broadband internet connection.

Krause Picollo Trumpf

3krause8480.jpg

1960 KRAUSE PICOLLO TRUMPF Type 5

Out there in the wild and wacky world of vintage vehicle collections, there are some that just shouldn’t have been made in the first place.

The 49cc Krause Picollo Trumpf is a chimera – a mythological beast like the griffon, sphinx or dragon that combines the attributes of many species.

Is it a scooter? Is it a 3-wheeler? Is it a moped?

The terrifying chimeras lived in the imagination of ancient man. But our children should be afraid – because the Picollo Trumpf is much more real, and may occasionally be spotted lurking within the pages of my other websites.
