1955 Goggo Scooter 200/II
The Goggo scooter is considered a fifties icon in Germany. Surprisingly, though, it’s not very well known in the UK.
The company stopped making the scooters to concentrate on the equally fabulous Goggomobil cars.

With a cult following, Goggos are very expensive in Germany. I searched for quite a while before buying this one. It wasn’t cheap!
I MOT’d it and registered it, and have taken it to shows.
It’s not something I really want to sell; but that applies equally to many more in my collection.
So my loss is your gain.
I haven’t used it since last summer. So the new purchaser will need to give it a service before using it.
There are very few of them in the UK. But spares can be obtained.
Joining the Vintage Motor Scooter Club (VMSC) will provide you with the relevant contacts. http://www.vmsc.co.uk/
It is MOT’d until 23 May 2008 and currently taxed. There’s a V5C Reg Document, and also a German logbook (see below).

Original Goggo German Logbook
It’s not often these days that you come across an original 1950s German scooter logbook. My Goggo still has its original registration book.
When I registered the scooter onto the DVLA computer, my local DVLA office allowed me to retain the document rather than sending it back to Germany, as it is of historic interest. If you are lucky enough to have original documents if you buy a foreign vintage vehicle, remember to ask about this before you register it with DVLA.
I’ve added pictures of the document here so you can see it.

The logbook is included in the auction. But the brochures are copied from the German Goggo Club website. The abundance of literature is one of the things I love about the Goggo.
